Snake's Revenge

In this more action-oriented follow-up to 1988's Metal Gear, you once again assume the role of Solid Snake as he attempts to prevent of the use of the massive super-weapon known as Metal Gear. This time, it has fallen into the hands of a villain with the inexplicably silly name of Higharolla Kockamamie. The gameplay and visuals of Snake's Revenge are superficially similar to the original, but there's more emphasis on combat than the stealth elements that made its predecessor so innovative. Released only in the U.S., the game is generally shunned by Metal Gear aficionados, which isn't surprising considering that series creator Hideo Kojima had nothing to do with its design. ~ Skyler Miller, All Game Guide
